Ludlow Dental Center Open in Ludlow, VT

 LUDLOW, VT - Springfield Medical Care Systems (SMCS) is pleased to announce construction is now complete for Ludlow Dental Center, located at 8 Main Street in Ludlow, VT. The new office is open for business and its staff of four is welcoming patients for needed dental care.

Services include routine hygiene, basic and major restorative care including fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, and dentures, extractions, and emergency dental services.

Appointments are being scheduled for Michael Foster, DDS, for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week, from 8 am to 5 pm. Lisa Watson, RDH, dental hygienist, is also available for cleanings on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 8 am to 5 pm, and on Friday, from 8 am to noon.

“We are pleased to improve access to dental care in this region,” comments Glenn Cordner, Chief Executive Officer of Springfield Medical Care Systems. “The need exists, and there is a strong correlation between oral health and overall general health, particularly for those living with chronic conditions,” continues Cordner. “This integration of health and dental care is a good example of the medical home model of care envisioned by the VT Blueprint for Health and practiced throughout our SMCS health center network,” he adds.

Ludlow Dental Center is a service of Springfield Medical Care Systems and will work closely with its Ludlow, VT office, Ludlow Health Center, as well as its other health center sites. Payment is expected at the time of service, and financial assistance is available to those who are income-eligible based on a sliding fee schedule.
