Free Health Screenings Offered At Zucchini Festival

Springfield Medical Care Systems will be offering free on-site health screenings at the Vermont State Zucchini Festival, held at Veteran’s Memorial Park in Ludlow, VT on August 15, 2009.

Screenings will include blood pressure checks and diabetes screenings. Other educational information on breast cancer, mammograms, and skin cancer facts, signs and symptoms will be offered. Medical personnel will also be present to answer questions.

In celebration of National Community Health Center Week, August 9 – 15th, these screenings and all information are being offered free of charge and all are invited to participate.

Springfield Medical Care Systems, based in Springfield, VT, is a not-for-profit, community-based health care system that operates a community health center network and Springfield Hospital.
