Amelia Shillingford, ANP-BC, WHNP-C, Joins Rockingham Medical Group

Bellows Falls — Amelia Shillingford, ANP-BC, WHNP-C, has joined the staff at Rockingham Medical Group, and is accepting appointments at their Health Center at Bellows Falls location at 1 Hospital Court in Bellows Falls, VT.
“We're pleased to welcome Amelia to Rockingham Medical Group. Her skills and expertise, particularly in the area of women's health, are a valuable addition to our team," commented Gary Clay, MD.
Amelia earned her Masters in Nursing degree from Yale University School of Nursing in New Haven, CT in 2009. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Yale University in 2003. Amelia is currently certified in Adult Primary Care by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and in Women's Health by the National Credentialing Center.
Recently, Amelia worked in Boston, MA at Brigham and Women's Hospital, assisting researchers and doctors in the founding of a genetic biobank. Prior to her work at Brigham and Women's, Amelia interned in New Haven, CT, where she helped patients manage episodic and chronic illnesses, and in East Hartford, CT, providing well woman check ups, gynecological care, and obstetrical management.
Amelia has also volunteered with several organizations, including “Haven,” a free health clinic in New Haven, CT, where she provided acute and primary care to Spanish speaking recent immigrants. She has also volunteered with a Rape Crisis Center, collaborating closely with health and legal professionals to assist survivors of sexual assault.
After spending many summers in Fairlee ,VT, as a camper, counselor, and nurse, Ameilia is very pleased to now call Vermont her home.
