SMCS provides access to a comprehensive range of health care services, with financial assistance offered based on a sliding fee scale. The amount of financial assistance available is determined based on annual income and famiy size, according to the most recent Federal poverty guidelines.

To help improve access to care, enrollment assistance is also offered for public insurance programs including State Medicaid programs, including children's programs, and referral assistance is offered for Medicare insurance programs.
