Springfield Medical Care Systems (SMCS) is a not-for-profit, community-based health care system that includes a seven-site community health center network, and Springfield Hospital, serving southeastern Vermont and southwestern New Hampshire. SMCS provides an integrated system of care that is patient-centered, and emphasizes quality, access, and affordability for all regardless of ability to pay, based on a sliding fee schedule. Services include primary and preventive care for people of all ages, pediatrics, health screenings, mental health programs, dental care, access to discounted pharmaceuticals, diagnostic lab and radiology services, and a broad array of acute hospital and specialty services.
